Media in Germany have published some parts of the progress-report for Turkey, where the most precise term, at least in the perspective of the Commission, would be regrass-raport.
Turkey has taken steps back on the road to the European Union and has serious obstacles to rule of law, freedom of expression and other fundamental rights. Under current circumstances, the opening of new negotiating chapters should not be considered,” wrote Wilt am Sonntag, citing parts here from the Commission's report.

However, Turkey is positively praised for migration policy and the economy.
“is making extraordinary efforts to support more than 3.5 million registered Syrian refugees”, the EU Commission says.
