EU like Formula 1, Moghrini: Today the light is green. This is where the race begins

High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Moghrini at the joint media conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama underlined that the recommendation for opening negotiations has come after efforts by all sides over the years. Congratulations. This was the result of a joint job. If you would [...]
Moghrin: Congratulations! This was the result of a joint job. If I look back at what this place looked like a few decades ago, you'll see how many changes you've all made together. Since this was a common result, the enlargement process always relies on merit and we will repeat it.
In March last year, I appeared clearly in front of Albania's citizens that the EC would give the positive recommendation for opening Albania's EU membership negotiations when implementing reform in justice and specifically vetoing begins. You did and we fulfilled what we said. Congratulations! It's a very historic moment in EU history. I would like to unite the prime minister to thank all Albanians and colleagues and my neighbours in Brussels.
EU as Formule 1
Comparing the integration process as a Forum 1 race, Moghrin said that for Albania, the green light is already on and here race begins

Civil disobedience?
Question: Does the heated political climate affect the opposition calling for civil disobedience. It does. What are the real prospects for Albania to open negotiations?
Federika Moghrin: My message to the opposition will be the one we gave to the prime minister. This is not the result of one party or another. It is a result of all those who have been working for the past decade to transform Albania. Not only take credit but also responsibility. It does not happen in the history of the EU that the EU path has been used by one party or another. This is national effort. And I see a lot of unity when it comes to aspirin. I believe it is in the interest of the majority and minority, the opposition government to join forces and to take steps for reforms that are key to the ongoing process. If Albania did produce results in justice reform, in the self-stimulating process, it happened why politics came together. When I say you all made it, you all made it. Your citizens' aspirin comes first. This is national effort.
Five priorities will continue to monitor
Federika Moghrin: Five key priorities will remain key items and the basis for our future work in common. It is time to recognise the outcome reached together in Albania and the commitment to work together, the opposition, and all citizens. The collective effort is not just institutions. Together we can continue this work, which will be larger and when negotiations begin. This is a process that allows for transformation of the country. Five priorities will continue to monitor
EU Interest
Federika Moghrin: “is not only the people's determination to join the EU, but in the EU's interest to get Albania into the EU when it is ready for that and I hope it is soon. ”
