Djuric: 10 years in prison for any Serb joining Kosovo Army

The director of the Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, Marko Djuric, has called on Serbs in Kosovo not to become part of the Kosovo Army, stressing that the basic “of Serbia's criminal Law participation in illegal armed formations is punishable until ten years in prison”. He stressed that the formation [...]
He stressed that the formation of the Kosovo Army is illegal and conflicts with Resolution 1244 and the Kumanovo Agreement, and that, according to him, is long-term stability.
Djuric said the Serbian List, which opposes the formation of the Army in Kosovo, has the backing of President Aleksandar Vuciq and the Serbian Government.
Speaking of the platform, which the Kosovo government has proposed, with which it is envisioned for talks in Brussels to finalise Kosovo's recognition, Djuric says the international community's position will better be seen if the Kosovo Parliament approves this platform.
Pristina has done nothing without the international community's consent. If the international community does not want the platform approved, they will tell friends and their partners not to approve in Parliament”, Djuric told “TV Prva”, it'sgraphy.
According to him, Pristina sees no future in regulating relations in a peaceful and diplomatic manner, it has shown in the past, but has lacked the international community's response.
The international community's “response is not satisfactory, does not encourage success in continuing dialogue” explained Djuric.
He commemorated that “of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said Kosovo has no foreign policy and that it is the policy of the United States”.
Djuric said that “is good that the Serbian Army has entered the path of modernisation and strengthening, because for Serbia peace is the most important”.
According to him, the EULEX Mission in Kosovo is unsuccessful in Kosovo, because it has not created conditions for rule of law.
“Such a EULEX was brought by those who say Kosovo should be allowed without any conditions to join the UN”, Djuric said.
By contrast, Serbia's Defence Ministry has brought the National Security Strategy and Defence Draft, where it says Serbia will not recognise Kosovo's independence, will provide full support for the Serb participation in the provisional institutions in Pristina, against forming the Kosovo Army.
