International girls' day in the information and communication field (TIK) will be marked with a conference organised at the American University in Kosovo.
Even this year, the Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with the IPKO Foundation, the American Embassy, Empowerer USAID, A.U. K TDI and the Pristina municipality are hosting the conference Girls at TIX with the aim of expanding the scope of this event, aiming to raise awareness about the opportunities of girls/women in the ICT sector through a multidimensional set of prospects, success stories, and networking opportunities for participating girls and women active workers in this sector.
The International Day of Girls on ICT is celebrated in more than 150 countries through various events aimed at self - awareness and vowing to a local environment that empowers and encourages girls and women to think about careers in the realm of information and communication, which is constantly growing.
In Kosovo, this will be the fourth time such an event is organised to mark this day.
