Over 4 billion euros is expected to be the financial cost of building the “New Kosovo Resolution1>, according to the Kosovar Civil Association for Sustainable Development consortium.
An analysis released Wednesday says that with a funding structure, where 70 per cent of the cost is expected to be covered through credit and 30 per cent through private investments, as well as the application of the domestic return rate of 7.5 per cent, the total cost of building TC “Kosova e Re” will reach over 4 billion euros, writes Koha Ditore today.
As we parse the contract between Government and “Contour Global” for the construction of TC “New Kosovo”, KOSID has found that additional compensations to be provided to the company in question will also be provided to affect the total cost of construction. In addition to high costs, according to COSID, such a project will cause energy price increases.
In the analysis it says that Section 3.6, the clause or agreement on buying electricity, obliges Kosovo to provide water with a certain quality for the thermal power plant. According to her, water quality specifications should be in line with GenCo (Contour Global).
