It has been two months since the Central Election Commission has been without a leader. Valdete Daka, has completed her mandate as CEC leader. Arianni Krasniqi says it is President Hashim Thaci who is delaying this appointment.
This chair has been empty for two months. According to reports on the Central Election Commission page, no meetings have been held in this hall since 23 March of this year.
Already all members of the CEC and its leader have completed their mandate.
Analyst Albert Krasniqi has told T7 that the CEC is currently out of place.
Now we have a CEC that is without mandate and it is not an institution that is functional because any decision that would be made by this institution would be considered illegal.
Krasniqi has said it is President Thaci who is delaying the appointment of the new CEC chairman.

Furthermore, he says that the reason for the president's delay is about how much the President finds the right man he can control.
Regarding the debates taking place among MPs, holding new elections, Krasniqi has said that if the CEC continues without leadership, preparations for possible elections must make the CEC secretariat
Valdete Daka has been elected leader of the CEC on 16 June 2010, when it was decreed by former President Fatmir Sejdiu.
That leading mandate in the CEC has held for seven years.
On June 16th of last year, Dhaka has implemented its mandate as CEC leader, but has again been mandated, for a 90-day deadline.
