More than 6 thousand citizens of Great Britain have gained citizenship from any of the EU states within 2016. The number of those who receive European citizenship has doubled in the year following holding the EU-free referendum. Brex had an impact on almost every aspect of life, and it seems that this has led even some dissatisfied people to obtain another passport.
Data from Eurostat shows that 6 thousand and 555 citizens of Britain have gained European citizenship in 2016, as opposed to 2 thousand and 478, as this number was in 2015, Kosovo passes.
Most Britons received German citizenship, then France and Belgium.
