Anxiety that the pipeline is not paying off debts even after payments

Recently, cases of non-debts have been frequented after performing obligations. In the regional waterwork, Pristina says it is true that there are such cases. They say that citizens' complaints are being examined and working to get the problems of this nature out as quickly as possible. Gentiana Krasniqi, [...]

Gentiana Krasniqi, from Pristina, is one of many citizens, who, even after making water payment, the debt has not been erased. She told Radio Kosovo that the water bill for February has been paid in a microfinancial institution, but, when she received the March month bill, she has found that her debt has not been erased.

I've had a lot of trouble with water supply bills. I've had it twice since I paid the bill, and the next month, my old debt bills came up again, I mean, even though I paid it, my debt didn't go off. And for that, I've filed a complaint in a water supply, that it's not okay to pay the bill, and my debt doesn't go off with”, Krasniqi said.

Gailna claimed that she is unable to understand what the problem is, and how it is possible that even after her debt is done, she will not be erased. It requires that the debt be hidden and that arrangements be taken so that these problems will not be repeated.

And that some citizens have such problems of not canceling the debt even after making payments, confirmed by the spokesperson for the regional water supply Pristina.

This is happening because consumers when they're making payments are not writing the bill number or the consumer code. But the payments are being paid only by name and surname, which is making it difficult to identify payments. The percentage is very small of payments that have such problems”, she said.

spokeswoman Arjeta Doctor said that the regional water supply Pristina is constantly examining citizens' complaints and mistakes are improving by erasing debts. She stressed that this is a technical problem, and that the Aqua is working on overcoming it. The doctor said that for this, the Aqua will create a financial module that cannot afford to pay water bills without the bill number or the consumer's financial code.
