Reports of halting sanctions against Russia by US President Donald Trump have caused clashes among senior American officials
The new economic adviser at the White House, Larry Kudlow, has apologized to the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations organization, Nikki Haley, for his comments about a statement.
Kudlow had said that Ambassador Haley might have been confused when over the weekend she declared that sanctions against Russia would be inevitable.
The immediate response was Haley's response to the Kudlow, tracking them with the words: “With all due respect, I don't get confused”
Sources from the White House have said that Kudlow, who heads the National Economic Council, called Kudlow later to apologize.
