Albania's Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Lindita Nikola, has met in Izmir, Turkey, with Turkish Education Minister justly Yılmaz, with whom she also attended the Albanian-language learning ceremony at a school, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).
After the meeting in Izmir's town of Kemalpasha, the two ministers visited the Halibeyli neighbourhood, mostly populated with Albanians and Bosniaks, while later attending a ceremony on the basis of the start of Albanian language learning as electives at the Alija Izetbegovic elementary school.
Turkish Minister Yılmaz expressed congratulations on starting Albanian-language hours.
Yılmaz stressed that Albania and Turkey share hundreds of years of history and are two friendly and brotherly states. According to him, although the two countries have no common boundaries, strong historical ties make the two countries feel like two countries devoted to each other with common history and culture.
Yılmaz said that behind Albania, Turkey is the country where Albanians live mostly.
He said students in this school can choose Albanian language classes and added that ties with the Albanian people will be strengthened further through children.
The “Tgues of this interest is also the presence of the honoured minister and the accompanying delegation. Our ministry has prepared and provided free textbooks for students. We have also put the books on the EBA website. Students ' emotions in learning this language indicate that we have done the right thing. Albania has a special place in the hearts of our people”, said Minister Yılmaz.
“We want to develop co-operation in every area between the two states”, Yılmaz stressed, stressing that the distance between Albania and Turkey is not an obstacle to brotherhood between the two countries. I wish that the Albanian-language election content would advance away the friendship and brotherhood among our countries”, he added.
On the other hand, Albanian Prime Minister Nikola said she feels excited about the case. I have waited with great satisfaction and am very honored with the Ministry of Education's invitation to be on this visit. The emotions I experienced today exceeded all expectations I had for this visit. I felt like I was in a family”, said Minister Nicolaus.
