This is AKR member rejecting the post of interior minister

Following Flamur Sefaj's resignation from the position of Interior Minister at the request of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, the AKR has not yet decided on the new name it will put at the helm of this institution.

Prime Minister Haradinaj yesterday at a media conference after the government's meeting, said they are pending AKR to bring the new name for interior affairs minister.

And in the AKR they say this case already belongs to party chairman Behgjet Pacolli.

The party's chairman, Fatmir Matosi, in a pronomation for Telegrafi, has said that even though he was nominated by the party structure, he will not be a candidate for MPB minister.

This case is the responsibility and competence of the AKR chairman. I was nominated by the absolute majority of the party and branch structure, I thought about this issue and yesterday I announced President Pacolli that I am not a candidate for MPB minister”, Matoshi said.

He added that he does not know when and who Pacolli will decide.

“I will continue to make my contribution to the MMPH as deputy minister and as chairman of the branch in Kamenica. While I gave the president my opinion that the new MPB minister would definitely have to be from the party's governing structure and in no way by someone from outside or someone who depending on the interest of the moment that comes in and comes out of AKR”, Matoschi said.
