For him and most of these children, energy drinks are no different than a 55x1> soda, Davis' parents said.
His parents hope to use his story to warn his parents and to protect other people. A South Carolina state representative is pushing a bill prohibiting the sale of energy drinks to people younger than 18 years of age, Periscopi broadcasts.
“We want to treat energy drink as if it were alcohol”, says lawmaker Leon Howard.
According to the American Food and Medicine Administration, adults should not consume more than 400 milligrams of caffeine a day. This is between four and five cups of coffee. /Periscopi
