The case judge, Kayo Matsumoto, has said that as a result of fraud, Shkrell has caused a $10.4 million loss of investment.
However, the final decision for Albanian-American Shkreli will be pronounced on 9 March. Shkrell defence lawyers have said his client has committed no offense and hope he will not be sentenced to prison.
The stock became famous and very hateful at the same time, as it raised for thousands of times the price of the drug used to treat AIDS and several other dangerous diseases.
