World leaders are congratulating Russian President Vladimir Putin for his victory in the presidential election, but so far none of the Western leaders have reacted to Putin's victory, providing him with a six-year term at the helm of the country.
Chinese President Xi Jinping said his state is enjoying one of the best co-operations with Russia throughout history.
The leaders of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Venezuela, Bolivia, and Cuba are among the countries that have sent congratulating messages to Putin. However, none of the Western bloc leaders have so far commented on Putin's victory.
Tensions between the West and Russia have deepened in recent weeks, following the poisoning of the former Russian spy in Great Britain. The Act Britain is blaming Moscow for.
Britain has expelled 23 Russian diplomats, while the US has imposed sanctions on a group of Russians under suspicion of interfering in the American presidential elections of 2016.
Putin, according to official results, has won more than 76 per cent of the vote.
