Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Kadri Veselini has gathered young PDK people in Pristina today as a starting point for the domestic election process.
At a rally in Pristina's 21st Square, Wessel said youth has been leading and large processes in the country, and also has been the PDK's main pillar on its political journey.
Chairman The PDK said Kosovo has scored achieved in these 10 years of state, but added that young people in this country deserve much more.
“We don't have to be humiliated in front of anyone. But no fun. We still have a lot to do.
This is what we should do in the Second Decade of Independence, the New Decade of Our Freedom, the Decade of Faith, Development and Integration”, Veselin said.
Citing the New Decade as PDK's motto, Wessel said it includes many commitments.
Kosovo's Second Decade of Independence will be decades of youth. The Decade of their leadership in the challenges of confidence in ourselves and the state, in what we are and what we represent; economic development and prosperity; strengthening democracy; and accelerating the agenda of Euro-Atlantic integration. That is the concept and vision of the Democratic Party for Kosovo Young People. We aim at a completely new approach to the involvement of young people in politics, while simultaneously maintaining the good tradition we have built as a party in creating political space for youth engagement. Youth will be the main mechanism for changing the party and the country's”, he said.
He has called on young people to engage in a transparent process, but much more, to draw close to the vision of the new PDK throughout Kosovo.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo will be your task force; of our proud country's free thought, developers and integration. The Democratic Party of Kosovo will be the main link through which young people will be able to make their contribution to the state, economy, culture and the overall development of society. Therefore, let us draw to our large family, the PDK, more young and new, throughout Kosovo, who want to make their valuable contribution to the country”, has declared Wessel.
