Next week, crucial for Albania-Brussels dialogue

On 17 April, the European Commission will publish its enlargement package, which, according to sources from the EU, is expected to announce the delivery of recommendations to the Council of Europe for opening negotiations for Albania and Macedonia, the ANSA reports.
Just in terms of Albania's EU membership prospect on Tuesday, March 20th in Brussels, a conference will be held with the participation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati, together with European Parliament President Antonio Tayan, EU High Representative Federica Moghrini, organised by Eurodeput David Sassol.
“Albania is ready to open membership negotiations with the European Union”, says Euro-Deputet David Sussol, adding that the last “, it is committed to reforms dealing with rule of law, governance, economy and justice”.
This meeting envisions a crucial week for dialogue between Tirana and Brussels, where Albanian negotiators will be in Brussels on Monday 19 March. And the last word will be for the 28 EU member states.
The last condition Tirana must meet is full implementation of justice reform, which includes the process of verifying the composition of the judicial body in the country.
