Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq has said he will meet in Brussels next week with his Kosovo counterpart, Hashim Thaci, in an effort to resolve our problems”.
It will resume dialogue... to try to solve our problems, even if I don't trust them... We don't have a choice”, Vuciq told reporters in Belgrade.
The Serbian president announced that the meeting with Thaci will be held on March 23rd.
The European Union insists that Pristina and Belgrade normalise the reports, and this is considered the key condition the two states must meet so that they can join the bloc.
On March 14th, Vuciq had said his state is ready for compromise on unresolved issues with Kosovo.
For us, the most difficult obstacle on the road to Europe is actually the situation over Kosovo, and for that reason, Serbia is willing to talk about possible compromise”, Vuciq had declared.
The dialogue mediated by the European Union, between Pristina and Belgrade, started in 2011.
