US President Donald Trump ordered the expulsion of 60 Russian diplomats after poisoning the former Russian spy in Great Britain.
The United States also ordered the closure of the Russian Consulate in Seattle, according to the agency “Reuters”. In the United States, 48 Russian diplomats are said to be accommodated at the Embassy of the Russian Federation, while others are at United Nations headquarters in New York.
Germany and France have also announced they will rule out four Russian diplomats, respectively. Other European countries, 14 in total, have also followed the trend.
The EU agreed last week that Russia, by all odds, was behind the poisoning of the former spy and his daughter on British soil. Russia denies the role in the attack on Salisbury.
Great Britain expelled 23 Russian diplomats last week, while on Monday, Russian ambassadors have been called to explain to several European foreign ministries, amid reports of possible diplomatic expulsions. /Top Channel/
