Lawyer Bajram Tmava has said that throwing tear gas is a criminal offence under existing laws in the Republic of Kosovo. He has said the police had to intervene at the first moment when tear gas was dropped.

Unlicensed content. There's no problem with those who act like this today being initiated by criminal procedures. As a defense attorney, in my opinion the prosecutor had to intervene, inform the police and intervene. Police are under law binding that if an act that is illegal right there could take steps”, Tmava said in an interview for K. Kosovo.

He has said that throwing tear gas would also be punishable for prison after being considered a restraint, writes Periscope.

The flow of tear gas to someone causes damage. During all those MPs if such measures are taken, a particular danger arises. Then it happens when I was a prosecutor, the measures were drastic. The measures had to be in prison and the detention continued because danger could be repeated. The police were supposed to intervene in the Assembly”, Tmava said./Periscopi/
