President Hashim Thaci has announced he has decorated Kosovo's “Hero command” six heroes from the Gjakova municipality.

At Kosovo's “Hero Command”, to honour their works in the service of the homeland, I decorated martyrs Elton Zherka, Permet Vula, Bujar Roka, Hamez Zymer, Ilir Soba and Sadedin Shehu from the Gjakova Community.
Likewise today, we also remember and honor the 14 martyrs of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who heroicly fell after crossing the border in the battle of Sishman of Gjakova.
But as we honor the bravery of our heroes and martyrs 19 years ago, we also remember the sacrifice of martyrs of the Decani municipality killed in the fierce Serbian offensive of Irzic and Beleg people.
Heroes, martyrs and martyrs are the prize of our freedom. They will always be daily inspiration to preserve the freedom for which they gave their lives.
