Representatives of students in Kosovo say they have rejected meeting with Minister of Education Shyqri Bytyqi. He said he has met students who have assured him that exemption from ECAR does not affect recognition of their diplomas in the EU.
Through a communique for the media, the Kosovo Students Union says students who have met the minister do not represent the voice of Kosovo students.
Kosovo Students' “Union announces to the public that legal representatives of students ( U n The SK, Student Parliaments and Student Councils) have refused to meet with Minister Bytyqi until we agree on the steps we will take following the expulsion of AQAR's AKA. We are not against his meeting with students, but those who have met with him do not represent the voice of Kosovo students”, said the USKCE report.
U n The SK has warned tomorrow at noon a media conference of student representatives of all public universities and private colleges. It is expected to reveal the student's attitude and steps to follow.
Minister Bytyqi in an interview for Kosovo public television said he met with students' representatives tonight.
“We have had a meeting with students and we have clarified that no student will have problems in the validity and recognition of diplomas at European Universities for all diplomas who are accredited in high education programmes”, he said.
Such a meeting has also been announced through a convention media communiqué.
