For independent MP Korab Sejdiu, visa liberalisation is still far away, even if it wants to pass demarcation for the Kosovo-Montenegro border.
He has said that Kosovo has the next condition for liberalisation, and that is fighting crime and corruption, which he says our country is far from fulfilling this condition.
Sejdiu added that with the ratification of the demarcation, we would be one step closer to liberalisation, but not necessarily close to it.
“It is not the liberalisation that happens immediately after the demarcation passage is passed because there is still the condition of fighting corruption, where we stand too weak. Furthermore, both the EU and Schengen countries must decide whether they are willing to liberalise Kosovo visas. So it's not an automatic dika, but with the passage of the demarcation we'd be a step closer to liberalisation, but not necessarily near”, Sejdiu said of Inseder.
The session for voting the demarcation agreement with Montenegro is scheduled for Tuesday, at 4: 00 p.m. Already parties P DK-LDK-AAK and Initiative have declared the vote for this agreement. All together constitute 79 votes, one less than necessary for passing this topic. Vetevendosje Movement officials and “Independent Deputies Group” have declared they will vote against it. So far, both the Serbian List and the Serb List have provided no indication that they will vote for it, despite having had meetings and consultations with the country's top leaders.
