RTK columnist Joy Blakaj has informed AGK that at the time she was covering the Kosovo Parliament's plenary session has been hampered in her work by a certain member.Mine from the Kosovo Assembly.

“I have been offended with the most humiliating words and with an arrogant behaviour by the Kosovo Assembly Security member”, Blakaj said.

Journalist Blakaj points out that she has been hampered by security member until she was negotiating with an MP and has even been humiliated in the presence of several other journalists.

She says the insult is also conveyed in physical action by getting her violent out of the hall where the MPs stayed. She added that the security member has literally threatened her, saying she would not be allowed in the future to enter the Kosovo Assembly building.

“Over these 18 years of career accompanying the Kosovo Assembly, I have no longer felt ignored and insulted by Kosovo state officials”, Blakaj said.

The Kosovo Journalists' Association strongly condemns the threat of Kosovo's Security Council to the journalist and wants adequate measures taken against this member.

This is the second case that threats and arrogant behaviour have taken place for a short time by members of the Kosovo Parliament's security against journalists who convey the work of this institution.

The AGK will send disturbing letters to the Kosovo Assembly chairman and director general of the Kosovo police to take measures to prevent these improper behaviour of security members.
