Tillerson was often described as a calm hand of “peaceful president”, while US President Donald Trump usually chose hasty decisions, such as inflated rhetoric and controversial political decisions. Both people had disagreements on many issues, including the nuclear agreement with Iran and the Gulf crisis.
Pompeo, meanwhile, is a controversial figure who openly supported the torture used in the Guantanamo prison, and has a xenophobia history, reports “Al Jazeera”, Periscopi broadcast.
What effect will Pompeii's past have on his role as United States diplomat?
Pompeii was elected to the House of Representatives in 2010, representing the state of Kansas during the Tea Party era, the Republican Party's ultra-conservative branch.
He was opposed to Democrat candidate Raj Goyle, a life dweller of Kansas and son of an Indian-hydu immigrant.
No one could stop Pompeo from calling to Goyles' address like another “, another trumpet tropper (refering to him as a backlog) we don't need him at a convention or a political office representing the constitution and Christianity of the United States! ”
Goyle called Pompeii for the repentance of this message, saying that “the fanaticism attack” went “beyond the rules of engagement in politics.” Pompeo apologised, saying it was “accidentally forwarded”.
Pompeii has also taken a strong stand in favour of the expanded “tactics” or torture methods, including water afflictions, used to question those suspected of violent activities.
Pompeo had been criticised by the administration of former President Barack Obama for closing the secret prison <x0).
In 2014, Pompeo had accused Obama of neglect against Islamic <x0-radicals and true terrorism”.
One of Obama's first duties as president was the closure of Guantanamo. The prison was never closed. Pompeii spoke favorably of not closing down Guantanamo.
“GTMO has been a gold mine of intelligence about radical Islamic terrorism,” said Pompeii in 2016./Periscopi/
