The revolution comes, now the houses are built for $4,000.

In the near future, building a house can be as easy as printing a plane ticket. “Story”, a charity organization and “Icon”, a company for building robotics in Texas, discovered what is believed to be the first 3D house. Both organizations became together for him [...]
Both organisations came together to show that it is possible to build a house in just 24 hours. They tested this concept and began to produce small homes for families in countries like Haiti and El Salvador.
An 800 square meter house costs $10,000 to build because of the use of the Vulcan printer that “Icon” owns.
But this price is expected to drop to 4,000 dollars. Theoretically, it is expected that soon a house can be built in just six hours, but the process is still under test.
The house in Austin is the only one built so far.
There are other groups working on house printing, like Appis Cor in Russia. But the group in Austin believes its structure is the first printed house considered habitable by the local government.
“Icon” hopes to eventually commercialise home printing technology in the United States, where housing shortages are reaching serious levels in several larger cities.
