This year's state-owned mats will have changes. For the two days since the first term of the test was organised, this year will be held in eight days. The head of the Matura State Commission, Fehmi Hysenaj, said that in a deadline the first part would be organised in four days, as will the second half. The exam will not be held on the same day nationwide.
The main problem with the organisation of the Matura State Test has been its administration. For this reason, the Matura State Commission has decided to make changes, organising the test in the first four days and four days on the second part. Commission Chairman Fehmi Hysenaj told Radio Kosovo that the test will not be held the same day throughout the country, but will be shared by regions.
“Pristina will be a single region, as it is the largest region, while other days will be from two regions together. The first part will have general subjects, Albanian, mathematics and English languages, and the second part are profession classes. In fact, an eight-day term will have a” test, he said.
Regarding measuring the difficulties of questions, as the test will not be held on the same day, Chairman Hyssenaj said the best experts have been committed to working in this direction.
“We're going to try to make it less, because as the amount of tests increases, the possibility of mistakes increases and we try to make mistakes minimal. We have taken all steps for the prom test to be counted as state value”, Fehmia said.
Meanwhile, education affairs connoisseur Dukagjin Pupovci said that if the prom test is divided in four days, the first and the same part of the second part should be well thought, as there may be complaints from students about the difficulties of questions.
If this is to be done, to divide the test in four days, then of course four different sets of tests that students must complete. But we have to remember that those who enter the test on the fourth day will have some kind of advantage because we run the tasks and they can have the models. These should be thought of before such a thing is implemented”, he said.
According to the head of the Matura State Commission, the division of the test on a special day in the regions will also facilitate management mode. He explained that the design of tests has changed so as not to have access to abuses. In 2018, some 30,000 seniors will undergo the state exam. Meanwhile, according to the Law on Matura, understanding is 40 percent of the points.
