The head of state, Hashim Thaci, has recalled NATO's air strikes on Slobodan Milosevic's Yugoslavia.
“Today became 19 years from the start of NATO air strikes against Serbian military and police forces. As international diplomatic efforts did not halt the aggression of the Milosevic regime in Kosovo, NATO intervention had remained the only option to end our people's suffering”, Thaci has said.
“We are eternally grateful to the US, the EU states and the NATO Alliance, which with their intervention opened the Kosovo liberation chapter. The Republic of Kosovo remains committed to strengthening peace, security and for a future in good neighbourly areas throughout the country of”, it has added further.
