They put an iron ring around the town of Scytheme to prevent help from coming to the Legendary Commander and Family Jashar from his friends outside Precas. The first danger, Serbian forces would come from Lausha, a village that at the time counted many KLA members.
No one knew the Serbian plan for the attack on Jashars. KLA soldiers from Lausha were conducting daily patrols around the village. One of those who was assigned on March 5, was Miftar Rreci.
He and several KLA members were conducting a raid on the mountain separating Lausha and Skenderaj, when they confronted Serb forces. Police and the Serbian Army had been established very early and had taken positions until March 5th controlled the KLA.
On that occasion, there was a shooting exchange where Miftar Rreci, who from their wounds and invisibility passed away the following day, writes Magazina.al. The fall of the Miftar Rreci witness, located on a day with Jashart, is not marked with any activity, but his family and fellow fighters remember him every 5 March.
