MP from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Elmi Recica, said all party and institutional leaders are doing intensive work to have the demarcation voted this week.
“We are working intensively on party leaders, even institutional leaders and MPs alone for this week to secure votes to vote demarcation with Montenegro, whether to ratify the agreement. I believe we're too close to secure the votes”, he said.
Meanwhile, analyst Ngjemman Pacarizi considers that in this political spirit of boycotting Assembly sessions by MPs, not only demarcation but none of the laws, even the simplest ones, can be processed for review, and this could have major consequences for the country.
” With this political class so irresponsible not only of demarcation, but no important issue will be able to pass or pass with unpredictable consequences for the country's future”, he said.
As for statements by LDK Parliamentary Group chief Avdullah Hoti that the current Kosovo Assembly legislature must be dissolved, analyst Pajarizi said those statements are made for domestic consumption and are not serious.
He added that all MPs in the Parliament, including the opposition position, are irresponsible in relation to the country's duties and citizens.
It is unacceptable that political interests activate, to mobilise so strictly in relation to the interest of the state and the citizens of Kosovo. Therefore, Mr. Hoti's statements should be addressed such as what they are, statements for domestic consumption”, he said.
However, it remains to be seen whether the Kosovo Assembly will call for the ratification session this week.
