Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah will meet with United States President Donald Trump today.
Before leaving for his visit to Washington, Netanyahu said he would talk about the possibility of Trump participating in the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem, this event that is previously held on May 14th.
“Of course I will talk to him about this option”, Netanyah said.
I am very grateful to him for the historic decision that Jerusalem will be recognised as the capital of Israel and to move the American Embassy to Jeruzalm on our day of independence”, the Israeli prime minister added.
Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem's capital of Israel has caused outrage in Arab countries, but also in other allies.
The Palestinians consider Jerusalem the capital of their future state. Israel has annexed East Jerusalem and declared it the capital, a movement that has never been recognised by the international community.
