The Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Department of State, Asylum and Migration respectively, suggests that under its mandate to implement the Foreign Law, it has revoted residence permits for Turkey's citizens.
“Referring to concrete cases of the Department for Citizenship, Asylum and Migration acted on the basis of the Foreign Law and the mandate it has to review and establish all requirements involving residence permits”, the statement said.
According to the MPB, this is a legal procedure that has been applied even in previous cases, both for foreigners with residence permits, as well as for foreigners who have acquired Kosovo citizenship and have been reduced for security reasons, or other procedures prior to the relevant law.
“Therefore we as a competent body, during the administration of evidence we have found that for those in question, there is sufficient legal basis for revocation of their permission to stay on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo for reasons defined by the law for foreigners, namely Article 6 of the law where it speaks of refusing or revocation of the residence permit for state security circumstances”, the report says.
Following the release of the decision to revote residence permits, Kosovo police have been announced as a competent body for executing these decisions. After the revocation of residence permits, the further attitude of these citizens is considered illegal.
Unrecognized “Pales have a right to complaint against the decision to revote in the competent court under the Law on Administration Procedure”, says the Ministry of Internal Affairs report.
Otherwise, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj earlier commented on the issue, saying Turkish citizens have only been detained/Periskopi/
