This minister, after ratification of the demarcation with Montenegro, estimates that the criterion of fighting corruption and organised crime has marked great progress, however, say they expect final assessment by the European Union institutions.
The European Integration Ministry (MIE) in a response to the newspaper “Voice” has clarified the decision-making procedures for visa liberalisation.
The next “steps in this process are six points, as follows: 1. The start of negotiations on completing the 539/2001 Adjust between the three main EU institutions: The European Commission, the Council of the EU and the European Parliament; 2. Approval of the Order at the plenary session of the European Parliament; 3. Approval of Order by the Council of Ministers; 4. Signing ceremony; 5. Publishing in the official newspaper; and 6. Entering into force”, clarify MIE.
Even the minister, the gift Hoxha has sometimes expressed confident that the visas will be removed within this year.
