Labour and Social Management Minister Skender Recica said today that they are in procedure for drafting the concept of the new labour Law, as well as are finalising the new Inspectorate Law that will soon be forwarded to parliament for approval.
At the plenary session of the Kosovo Parliament with the only point of the agenda “ParliamentaryDebat regarding domestic violence and institutional address”, some MPs have raised the issue of detecting female gender in jobs.
Recica said she is aware of the situation about this issue, but that this situation is inherited.
According to Minister Recica, the new labour law and the Inspectorate will in the future help contractual, employer-employer relations, not only with female gender, but in general, find application as required.
We're not just looking at the possibility of finding ways that for certain cases of even women's victims, even children, we can figure out ways to make up for them. We are working hard to make greater opportunities for women, especially those involved in domestic violence, or any other violence, to integrate into institutional life, but also to ensure jobs that their integration into working relations is an option for overcoming such situations”, Minister Recica has said.
In contrast, last year there were over 2,000 cases of domestic violence.
