Trade and Industry Minister Bajram Hasani during his official visit to Washington, has been hosted at a meeting by World Bank representatives.
Minister Hasani has been hosted by Javier Swarez, World Bank Trade and Competition Manager for the Europe and Central Asia Region, Damien Shiels and Daria Laverentieva, official for the Western Balkans region of Europe and Central Asia.
Minister Hasani has thanked World Bank representatives for the continued support they are giving Kosovo, and in particular, to the Ministry of Trade and Industry. He has highly appreciated the World Bank's commitment and commitment. According to Minister Hasan the World Bank has been one of the main pillars of development of the Republic of Kosovo.
This meeting discussed the start of the faster implementation of the project for increased competitiveness and export promotion, which will help Kosovo's institutions in terms of drafting and implementing development strategies and development policies, creating and developing the operational environment for the development of companies, as well as further consolidation of public-private dialogue, which covers a value of 14.5m euros.
Also considered has been investment opportunities in commerce and communication, a project of about $15 million.
World Bank representatives, however, confirmed to Minister Hasani support for Kosovo in implementing projects that will affect improving the situation of doing business.
This meeting also discussed recent developments in Kosovo's trade and industry, progress in implementing projects funded by the World Bank, and in financing new projects.
