The new commander of the US base in Kosovo is a nuclear engineer from the University of Maryland with a military stage of 29 years.
The American media, reporting on Ducich's appointment, say he is going to a peaceful <x0-> war condition” and where a political leader has been killed long ago.
Our “task is guaranteeing stability and freedom of movement in the state of Kosovo”, Ducich has said on the eve of flying towards Bondsteel, where he will remain in office for nine months.
“We will continue impartially to support development, stability and peace throughout the region. This mission is of great importance to me. I am the first officer of Serbian origin to command the multinational group of the East. I'm privileged to be here and I'm going to give myself everything to help environmental security successfully. We will continue the joint patrol mission with the Serbian Armed Forces. A few days ago, I met with the Serbian commander responsible for these patrols and was a great meeting”, Ducich said, adding that he is eager to see how much Kosovo has changed since his first stay here.
