Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has called for calm until he has said Kosovo Police have acted in line with its laws and competencies in the arrest of Marko Djuric. “Marko Djuric has entered Kosovo illegally. Kosovo police have acted in accordance with their competencies, with professionalism [...]

“Marko Djuric has entered Kosovo illegally. Kosovo police have acted in accordance with their competencies, professionally and in defence of the rule and law in Kosovo”, President Thaci has indicated.

He has said he has just been notified by competent bodies, and Marko Djuric has passed through the regular procedure of the Prosecutor and Justice, as well as is now being forwarded by Kosovo Police to the border point between Kosovo and Serbia.

“This case should not affect communication that has been set between Kosovo and Serbia, dialogue between the two countries, and normalisation efforts, for good inter-side relations and reconciliation between Kosovo and Serbia”, Thaci has indicated.
