Major damage caused in some villages after rain and snow

Yesterday's cloudfalls and the melting of snow have damaged land in the village of Henc and the Wargoli of the Fusha-Kosovo municipality. These rains have also caused the Drenica River to get out of bed, causing damage to residents of the town of Komoran of Drenas.

Water flows have caused the owner of one of the restaurants in Komoran, Granit Buyup, who for Kosova Preress has claimed that these flows have caused damages worth 15,000 euros.

According to him, within this winter season alone this bar has flooded three times.

It's like 15 thousand euros because it's damaged me, water's inside me, this time it's still not in, but we're waiting for it to get in, we're in a state of readiness, but somewhere the damage is approximately 15 thousand euros. We hope to get support even from the municipality or institutions by supporting us something”, he said.

He asked municipal institutions to extend the riverbed in order to avoid this damage.

According to him, apart from firefighters no one has come from the municipality to visit for the created situation.

The first time, maybe two months ago, were municipalities, now were firefighters, which is that we called them, they were, but they didn't see fit to undertake anything because it's impossible with the tools they own because with any means behind here it's impossible to interfere with this whole water...”, he said.

The concern over the situation created in this village has been expressed by other residents who refused to speak to the camera, but declared that they are always being threatened by flooding every time there is a drop.

Rainfalls and snow melting have also damaged vast lands in the village of Henc and the very Fush-Kosovo Vugoli.

In contrast, the road under the bridge in the village of Vragooli has become unexplainable.
