The Democratic League of Kosovo requires law bodies to carry out their work effectively, professionally and, above all, independently.
Astrit Zemaj on behalf of the LDK called on Kosovo Parliament deputies to refrain from comments and not interfere in the work of the judiciary.
Any tendency to influence their work is contrary to Kosovo's constitutional regulation. We as the Assembly, as the highest state institution, should maintain independence in decision-making of justice institutions. It is an undeniable fact that the justice organs in Kosovo in not rare cases have been delayed in establishing justice, but we believe that these organs should ultimately make merit decisions. We invite MP colleagues to respect the principle of power sharing, and justice is established without exception. At the same time, we are inviting the Assembly to be reserved in explaining the decisions of the justice organs, as is being done by MPs and the Parliament”, Zemaj said.
