Atifete Jahjaga wrote the story, becoming the first woman in the position of president in Kosovo and all of Southeast Europe.
Despite having completed the mandate of two years, the former president is continuing to be active in activities, participating in conferences worldwide.
In an interview for Klan Kosovo, she has said that it has always been her main goal to represent Kosovo as well inside and abroad.
I represented the young women and girls of our country as president. I never did hide that I was a feminist, never spared myself, and I will fight for the rights of women and young people. I've tried to separate the aspect of appearance from the appearances and political attitudes, but often my work and my decisions and my presentations have come under the shadow with some meaningless comments about external appearance, such as bags, hair or makeup. This should not be the subject of discussion. I've always tried to sort things out that also promoted the position of president. I have tried to promote Kosovo designers and designers”, Jahjaga said.
On the other hand, she also talked about her life after the president's mandate ended.
For the first time, the former president also talked about recent rumors that she was divorced.
Although he did not give much detail, he said such gossip has only strengthened him.
Even after the mandate, I will be committed to working in the interest of my country. Each society has a certain dose of gossip or prejudice. But these too have a limit. I have never been influenced by my work and commitment, in fact they have strengthened me even more to contribute so that young girls will not inherit the challenges we face in”, Jahjaga said./Periscopi
