Illegal locks on the power grid often lead to unprecedented problems and power cuts.

The last case of illegal locks on the power system was two days ago in Podujevo, where the illegal lock in the system was burned to accounts for measuring electricity. Major damage was caused by burns, and over 1,200 KED consumers were left without electricity.

KED spokesman Viktor Buzhala suggested that for RTKlive that the case of the closure in Podujevo is ecstatic and totally unacceptable.

Two customers turned off for debt in an attempt to rekey, have caused the burns of the distributors. As a result, other consumers have also been hit. This, after KED has been forced to cut power in that section by 1200 consumers for”, he said.

In his view, unfortunately, these cases are not rare. Such actions dare not happen at all. The effects of regular consumers, who suffer from the illegal and irresponsible actions of some irresponsible citizens, also represent punishable criminal acts. According to the Electrical Supply Law, designers are KED property and, as such, no outside party dare have access to them or attempt to touch or violate in any form. Likewise, each swimmer has two state bars, and its opening or touch represents state violations”, he stressed.

The Podujevo municipality has also confirmed the problem posed with the illegal lockup on the KEDS network. “According to information available to the municipality, the defect (Disitors' error) in the electrical network in the village of Lenan has occurred as a result of the illegal locking of some consumers who had been disconnected from the electrical network before due to debts to KEDS”, reportedly in response to the Office for Information of the Community Podujevo.
