Former French President Nicolas Sarcozy will face trial for corruption, broadcast French media.
The case was filed on several phone calls filed in 2014, in which Mr. Sarkozy allegedly sought to influence judges who were investigating the illegal financing of his election campaign.
Judge Gilbert Azibert and Mr. Sarcozy is expected to stay in court.
They have denied any wrongdoing.
In another case, the former president is accused of taking money for campaign by former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddhafi.
On phone calls, Mr. Sarcozy is reported to have used a nickname for Paul Bismouth and offered him a prestigious role in Monaco Mr. Ashbert in exchange for information on the case.
