Gjakova municipality Chairman Ardian Gjini has received Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Kosovo Valdrin Luka on Wednesday.

Chairman and Minister Luka have discussed steps to be taken to reactivate Gjakova Airport.

Meanwhile, Minister Luka has indicated that he has agreed with Prime Minister Djind for the Kosovo Government to initiate procedures for the activism of the airport very soon. He has announced that the ministry he heads, by the end of April, will take all steps and in co-operation with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Spatial Environment and Planning to initiate procedures for expropriation of about 45 hectares of land, where the Gjakova Airport is built.
