After five years, EULEX shuts down investigations in “Medico 2”

About five years after the investigation began in the case of “Medicus 2”, E ULEX has resigned from prosecution against seven of the eight indictees.
Among the suspects currently no longer prosecuted are: ex-Deputate The PDK, Shaip Muja, former Health Minister Alush Gashi and former head of the Municipal Court in Pristina, Nuhi Uka.
The only suspect that the investigation is continuing on, as Koha Ditore” has learned, is the Turkish doctor, Kenan Demirkol. However, the latter's defence is considering that any investigation by EULEX is now illegal, as it has passed its 30-month legal deadline in September last year. They have criticised the international mission for unprofessionalism.
On November 12, 2013, the Special Prosecutor has ruled on the launch of investigations against eight suspects: Kenan Demirkol, Alush Gashi, Shaip Muja, Shkelzen Sylaj, Nuhi Uka, Reno Dervisi, Osman Mehmeti and Flamur Bogaj.
