The American Embassy in Tirana has provided clarifications for Albanian citizens seeking American visas.

The embassy has thrown into social networks, on the Fb, a reminder: “do you know you have to appear at the Embassy only 10-15 minutes before the deadline? You don't need to come over for hours, or wait in line outside the Embassy wall. If you're traveling from out of town and you're early for your appointment, go to a café and enjoy a coffee. ”

Similarly, Consul Anna has instructed citizens to conduct questions, as follows:

Hello Anna, I've got a three-year American visa: how much am I entitled to stay in the USA without interruption, three months or six months?

Embassy response: Say hello. Keep in mind that tourist visas are aimed at a short term U.S. tourist visa is not meant to live in the US, nor is it to work there. Otherwise, you may be unacceptable under the immigration law. In general, you have to stay as long as you've stated on your visa application. Also, within a year you can't stay more than six months in total. Tourist visas are forbidden to work in the United States. If the immigration officer raises doubts that your purpose of the visit is not tourist, but for work, you may be revoted visas. And remember, misuse of visas affects your countrymen as well.

Read the following questions often raised:

Question: How long can I stay in the United States?

United States border officials determine how long you can stay in the United States. For most visa holders of visitor (B1/B2), the maximum time of stay is generally six months in a year of time. Students, visitors to exchange programmes and temporary workers are generally accepted for the length of status (written “d/s” on your passport). Despite this, to avoid future visa problems or entry into the United States, the purpose and timing of staying in the United States must be in line with what you said on the visa application.

How long can I stay on a B1/B2 visa in the United States?

The United States Embassy issues 3-year visas. Does that mean I can stay in the States for three years?

A visa does not guarantee US entry, but allows you to come from abroad and travel to the US entry point and ask permission to enter the US. Customs and Border Protection officials, the National Security Department, have the right to grant permission or to refuse to enter the US, as well as to determine how long you can stay. This official, after allowing you to enter, puts a stamp on your passport, where there is either a date or a D/S note. If your accession stamp has a specific date, then you must leave the US before this date. For most visitors' visas (B1/B2), the maximum time is usually six months in a time year. Remember, you are not generally allowed to work in the United States while on tourist visas. To avoid later visa problems or problems with US entry, your goal and duration of travel must be in line with the time you stated during your visa application and during your interview in the Consulial Department.

I've been in the United States almost six months, I've been back for three weeks to Albania, and I want to go back to the States, can I?

No. A three-year visa doesn't mean you can stay in the US for three years. In general you can't stay more than six months a year. If you do that, Customs and Border Protection Officer will cancel your visa and send you back. Standing beyond the deadline allowed by the Department of National Security, or standing out of US status, is a violation of the US immigration law and may make you unacceptable for visas in the future.

QUESTIONS

Can I get a tour visa with two kids? For a month's visit to Grandma and Grandpa's kids, please help me. My teaching profession... children are twins. Six-year-olds in the garden. We wanna go on summer vacation for a month?

Reply: Remember, if you want to apply, you can do it by following steps here: https://al.usesy.gov/sq/visas-sq/sq. Only the consular officer who interviews you after examining your case and interviewing you will make the decision whether or not you are qualified. Keep in mind, however, that each applicant of the tourist visa must exceed the presumption of the applicant's immigration goal (https://tvel.state.gov/.../visa.../denials.html), that is to prove that it is not a possible immigration, and that it has strong economic and family ties with Albania and that will return to Albania after a brief stay in the United States. Where we come up with the conclusion that a person has strong connections (work, social, other economic ties, etc.), and which exceeds the presumption of the immigration goal that we are obliged by law to presuppose any applicant of non-imigration categories, then we are happy and proud to issue these visas, quickly and respectfully. To answer your question, everything depends specifically on your situation. What are your goals in the United States? How long are you planning on staying? Will you work in the States? Do you have strong ties in Albania and plan to return? You have to make sure that you honestly ask yourself these questions (before you apply for a visa) and then answer honestly during your interview, if you apply. And remember, rejections in the 214b section of AIN are not permanent. Your ties outside the United States, as well as other criteria for the qualifications for non-imigration visas vary over time, as our very lives evolve. Of course, this also requires the question: “When can I re-appreciate?” if and when to apply it is entirely in your choice, but it is helpful to remember that if you were denied a visa based on a strong connection outside the United States, it would be better to wait until your situation changes before you apply again to the visa, or to identify these links and facts in your application form DS-160. Our best advice remains to be honest and true in front of the consular officer about your goals and qualifications at the interview desk. The people who want to apply to know that we don't have to look at all these documents. I want to have a conversation with the visa applicant in the sports room, without documents. Good luck.
