The investment project that came from KED has helped improve living conditions and work conditions for this region. The investment has improved the quality of the electricity supply, while also setting the risk for residents, which so far resulted from the old exposed network at the entrance of this village, where the lower Pataaqan and Forts divide.
87 family economies have benefited from this project.
KED spokesman Viktor Buzhala shows that new concrete pillars and new tratrusions are being placed under this investment.
“Among the 228 investment projects KEDS has implemented during 2017 is also the project in the village of Pasaqam Lower, in the municipality of Rahoveci. New 400 kVA, 66 new concrete pillars for low tension, 24 new concrete pillars for medium tension, as well as all forward materials, said ECDS spokesman Viktor Buzhala.
Among the 87 profitable economies in the area are the Musliu, Ahmeti, Zeka, and others.
Lower Pataqan resident and village chief member Samedin Zeka, says the investment that has brought about KEDS on this side has been extremely welcome for the community.
The first “is to say that with the investment KED has made at the entrance of the village, from the network, cables to the monitoring stabilizers, it has avoided the risk of exposing the human factor to outdated mechanisms. KEDS investments have also come here to the inside of our village, and I can say that we are extremely satisfied”, says Samedin Zeka.
With investments from KED, the village of Pataqan is also pleased with the director of public services of the Rahoveci municipality, Progress Krasniqi. Krasniqi expects such KEDs to extend to other areas on this side as well.
“In Patakan, KEDS has done extremely good work, according to what we see and witness to residents. From this company we expect and are confident that the projects for us will continue”, Krasniqi says.
The distribution Network Development Plan is a master plan of KEDS that envisions investing 300m euros in Kosovo's electricity distribution network by 2025. Through this master plan KED learns to renew the electricity network and make it similar to the electrical networks of developed European countries.
