In 2015 after the test P I SA, Kosovo was ranked among the weaker states. This has led the education ministry to take several steps so that the results of this time are better.
Valmir Gashi adviser in August has told the news.net that from the very beginning the ministry has established a new commission, drafting an administrative directive.
“Since the beginning of taking responsibility, Minister Bytyqi has taken the right steps about the preparations we have to make for the International Students Rating Programme (PISA). We set up a new commission for the fact that the previous commission was completely dysfunctional. The new commission is overly committed to preparations that need to be made, and they have even drawn up an Administrative Guide that has to do with monitoring the test. P The ISA 2018, which requires responsibility and accountability”, has said Gashi in a written reply.
Minister Bytyqi's adviser has indicated that two more pro-tests will be held during March. That's so the results turn out positive.
Also, this commission has prepared the work plan with activities to be carried out until the test is held. So far, informative meetings have been completed throughout the country and meetings with test co-ordinators. P ISA elected through Kosovo municipalities. Under the plan, two more test benefits with 15-year-old students are being held this month. So MAST is making maximum preparations since test P. ISA 2018 to get a lot better than PISA 2015”, says Valmir Gashi.
And on the other hand, educational affairs connoisseur Dukagjin Pupovci is saying that there is no particular preparation needed for this test.
Pupovci has stressed to news.net that the best preparation is for students to be informed about the nature of questions, and to prepare psychologically.
“P ISA measures the ability of 15-year-olds to apply in everyday life knowledge from the field of reading, mathematics, and natural sciences. The result of this test is a mirror of knowledge, skills, and habits that students have benefited from during their preliminary schooling. That's why there can't be special preparation for test P. ISA, in addition to informing students with the nature of their questions and preparation, psychologically giving you, the maximum”, Pupovci said.
Pupovci has expressed optimism that the generations you will submit to this year's test P The ISA is likely to have higher results. This may also mean the students ' technological knowledge.
This year, the generation of students born in 2002. Three years ago there were students born in 1999. The generation of 2002 has had the best educational conditions, ranging from free textbooks given during all the mandatory education to the best school infrastructure. Likely, they had the chance to use” technology more, Pupovci says.
He stresses test results P ISA needs to be used to improve the situation in education.
The “, therefore, may also occur to perform better than the 1999 generation, but the result must be used to make improvements, not to cover up problems. After all, the outcome of PISA 2018 will be only in December 2019. Meanwhile, there may be many other developments”, he points out.
Pupovci has now said that recently occurring strikes and learning delays cannot affect the results of test P ISA.
Unlike yesterday's United Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture has indicated that if they start strike from April 13th, even holding the test P ISA will be unable.
