Former Dragasi Chairman Continues to Recognise Misery

The former head of the Dragas municipality, Salim Jenuzi, who is accused of misuse of office Tuesday, during the start of his retrial, has again claimed that he does not feel guilty about the charge he is charged with. Neither has he pleaded guilty nor accused of usurping municipal property, Nexha [...]

Following the plea of the accused over guilt, the prosecutor of the case, Genc Nijza, has demanded that the court review be halted so that he can do the division of evidence from the subject documents dealing only with those two accused.

Nijja has said that since the Court of Appeals has confirmed the case against Bean Hadzihasan and Vetim Hasani, who have been acquitted of the prosecution, it takes time to remove evidence pertaining to them, and the same has proposed that they be invited as witnesses, since the bias has become powerful for them.

The panel, led by Judge Ayser Skyer, has accepted the prosecutor's request and put him on hold for 25 April 2018 at 10:00.

Otherwise, the Constitutional Prosecutor in Prizren claims that Salim Jeniz, being the mayor of the Dragas municipality in 2009-2016, has enabled Nexhat Selaj, the embezzlement of municipal property, which he had previously usurped.

And Nexhat Selaj is accused of illegally usurping the municipal property of the Dragas municipality, in which he built permanent business objects, although he had permission for temporary exploitation.

Prizren's Constitutional Court, on November 21, 2017, has convicted accused accused Yenuzi and Selaj, but such an act has marred the Court of Appeals.

The Constitutional Court in Prizren had sentenced former chairman Jenuz to one year in prison, which would not be executed if he did not commit new criminal acts within two years. Meanwhile, Nexhat Selaj was sentenced to six months in prison on condition that within two years you would not commit another criminal offence.

On January 25, 2018, however, the Court of Appeals has decided that the case will be turned into a retrial regarding defendants Salim Yeuzi and Nexhat Selaj, while for the other two indictees, Bean Hadzihasan and Vetim Hasani, who were acquitted, Apel has confirmed the indictment in question.

The Appeals Act says that the first-instance court has failed to reason on the verdicts of convicts Yenuzi and Selaj, not pointing to the actions of each in order to commit the criminal act they are charged with.

Appeal has demanded that Prizren's Constitutional Court, during the revising of this criminal case, reason on the interconnection of evidence containing the indictment and show whether the mayor had the right to sign the permit instead of the missing municipal director.

Even so, Appeals has called for precision in the timing of committing criminal acts after having concluded that the former mayor Jenuzi has signed a document and cannot stand the timing of committing criminal acts from August 31st 2011 to 2016. /Betiperity
