The possibility of human cloning emerged when Scottish scientists at the Roslin Institute created the highly talked sheep “Dolly” (gin 385, 810-13, 1997), which increased the interest and concern of the world because of its scientific and ethical complications.
The mother, defined by Science magazine as the 1997 revolution, also brought uncertainty about the meaning of <x0-cyclone” a defence term traditionally used by scientists to describe different processes for doubling biological material.
Doctors from the American Medical Association and scientists from the American Association for Advanced Science have published formal public statements opposing the reproductive cloning of human beings. The United States Congress has considered adopting legislation prohibiting human cloning.
Regarding the inefficiency of animal cloning, only one or two surviving offspring for every 100 experiments and shortages in the complete sense of reproductive cloning, many scientists and doctors insist very strongly that it would prove to be human cloning.
Not only do most species for cloning mammals fail, but about 30 %s of living - born clones are affected by the syndrome of “descendants of large size” and other weakened conditions.
A large number of cloned animals have died prematurely from infections and other complications. The same problems should be expected in cloning people. For the most part, scientists do not know how cloning would affect mental development. While intellect and spirituality may not be so important to a cow or a mouse, they are crucial to the development of healthy humans. With so many unknown for reproductive cloning, trying to clone man at the moment is considered to be highly dangerous and ethically irresponsible.
