But not all students take their bread with them. Children whose homes are close to school bring warm food to their parents.
60 minutes after eating their lunch meal, students wash their hands and turn to art or sports clubs to return to class 45 minutes later, this time to do their homework.
How is it better to do your homework at home or at school?
I love it. I like doing my homework here, at school, it's better”, says one student.
In school because I have a brother who won't let me do”, says another.
About 1500, parents go to school to pick up their children. What do they think about the initiative to do schoolwork?
In the house you can barely lay down, and you'll spend the time telling him to sit down and do your homework, so do it”, says one parent.
Well, it's good that the teacher is very helpful, we're not capable enough to help the child. I'm very satisfied”, says another.
But while school parents “Ardiaan Klosi” feel more relieved by this responsibility, teachers have to work overtime.
The charge is because we work more than the next time, but now we have all the kids on duty. Even those who have difficulty now walk with others, feel better, and come home satisfied tomorrow. There is also the part of the payment. For these overtime hours we get paid more”, the teacher says.
“Ardian Klosi” is just one of the schools in Tirana, which is piloting Tirana's newest municipality and ministry of education “doing school homework”, as 20 schools in total are being attended throughout the country, in Korca, Elbasan, Lezha and Fier.
