Canceled competition of UP's for accepting new staff into administration

University of Pristina rectory “Hasan Pristina” has cancelled its announced competition for the admission of new staff to the UPI administration.

The annulment of this competition was made by the reactor, Marjan Dema, since the latter had been warned by the Steering Council of UP's for the lower criteria of this competition.

For this competition, a citizen had reported Monday to KALLXO.com. The reactor cancelled the competition the day the questions were sent to KALLXO.com.

Rectorate of UP's on February 6, 2018, had published the competition for 13 free positions in the University of Pristina administration, but had set low criteria for accession as the possession of high school and without work experience.

15 days after the proclamation of this contest, the reactor had enabled applicants to extend its deadline. So on February 21, 2018, the reactor with the same low criteria had announced a competition extension announcement.

KA LLXO.com had found that out of the 13 positions required by the contest, the reactor had set criteria for accepting high school administration employees without work experience.

Of the 13 positions of the competition, four of them as UP's information officer, administrative officer at the Jurydical Faculty, Official Archive 1 at the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences and Official for Student Services, have not been asked for work experience.

KA LLXO.com has also found that the reactor has requested “Assistant Administration at the Sector Office” in high school but i/a which can work with computer programs.

High school, three years of work experience. Software accessor in software apps: Word, Excel, Power Point, Access. The knowledge of English” is required at the starting point 7 of the contest, which holds protocol number 263.

The same requirement for working with high school has been called for an administrative assistant position at the Medical Faculty.

On this issue, KALLXO.com has asked Rectorate officials, including Rector Marjan Dema and prorector Naser Sahiti. On behalf of the Rectorate has responded Fidan Hamiti, the staff manager at the UP, confirming the annulment of this competition.

“The competition has been cancelled by the UP's decision, following concerns raised by the KD, which have to do with the qualifications and experience of the job required to meet these jobs, especially for some specific countries which require relevant” expertise, Hamit told KALLXO.com.

While asking about the criteria for this competition, which has been requested as without work experience, Hamiti has said it was done based on the Catalogan of Labour Countries that was approved by the Kosovo Government in 2015.

“Under this, (the explanation that provides answers to all your questions) explains that, in the event of completion of jobs in all RKS Public Administration Institutions that have civil servants employed, as well as in the UP, the criteria of qualification and experience of work should be in full compliance with what is specified by this Catalog of the countries of the”, Hamit said.

The chairman of the UPI Steering Council, Ardiana Bunjaku, for KALLXO.com, said the reactor has opened low criteria competitions.

We as the Steering Council have only addressed our concern because of the criteria required. Most of the position criteria have been under low criteria, was a high school requirement or with zero experience”, said Bulnjaku.

She said that after the Steering Council's concerns, the reactor has decided to cancel the 13-seat competition in the UPI administration.

After the concerns we have made about this announcement of this competition they have decided to cancel and declare it to the highest criteria as well as to the University of Pristina”, Bunjak indicated.

Editor-in-chief Bunnjak said the first meeting of the Steering Council has been discussed on the criteria of this competition for which members have met with Rector Marjan Dema to discuss these concerns.

“Most of the positions that have been there taking into account the importance of the University of Pristina, we've just shown our concern that a middle school sector assistant is not a position. It's the first person to deal with all the information, the meetings. We've found it necessary to have another level. The reactor has been here and has immediately begun and has taken steps for this”, Bulnjak said.

In the open competition on February 6th 2018, the Rectorate had asked 13 positions to fill in the administration of the University of Pristina as the interior audience, law official 2, informative officer, expert in scientific research, budget and finance official, assistant management at the Rector's Office, administrative assistants in the Dicanate of the Faculty of Philosophy, administrative assistant at the Faculty of Medicine, administrative assistants at the Faculty of Medicine, Office of National Sciences, National Science and Agriculture Technical School, Agricultural and Agriculture and Ministership, Officials at the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Sports.
